Then there’s the Trials. What used to be ancient traditions have devolved into minigames involving more fake people (with their constant fake smiles and worship of the main character, I hate them so goddamn much) for You to plow through and feel all proud of before they put You on the plot train and railroad you to the next one. They all play out the same, you win without a hitch, they throw in a gag or two for the kids and some washed-up Celebrity Cameos (Red, Blue, Grimsley and Colress) for the folks at home. They serve no purpose and contribute nothing other than cheap fanservice.
