>>51443743There is no agenda being pushed. The things I said turned out to be intentional for a reason. When I said pokephilia is inanity because Pokémon are constructed to be fantastical critters and pets people here got up in arms. When I pointed out the many ways the series constructs this image by using actions and imagery associated with domesticated animals people got upset. When I pointed out how games like New Pokémon Snap and Legends of Arkeos Soter expanded on Pokémon as wild critters, and the games even refer to them as "wild creatures", people got upset. When I pointed out how the late Takeshi Shudo wrote about Pokémon and constantly refered to them as animals people got upset, when I pointed out certain things in his blog implying that's what Pokémon are meant to be perceived as people got upset. When I pointed out the wording and rules of the 2012 product guide were structured and written in a way for a reason people got upset, when I pointed out that there's a reason there was a section dedicated to real critters and how Pokémon replace them people got upset.
Yet the most telling aspect of this comes from the father of pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri and the official biography made as a manga. Here Tajiri is very clear on how he sees Pokémon, when Sugimori asks him about them being monsters and how they should be more like monsters Tajiri mind instead imagines real natural creatures from our world, he imagines Pokémon not as monsters but as animals. After all, Pokémon is a love letter to childhood and exploration and love of nature and the animals that live within it. For the longest time there was an anon who said my 'vision' of Pokémon was incompatible with Tajiri's vision and low and behold.
Stop sexualizing innocent and kind creatures.
