I haven't played any Pokémon since Red twenty years ago, but for some reason I've been curious about the franchise and looking to play through the games. I understand many games in the series have had remakes (Red -> Fire Red, for example).
Tell me /vp/, is there any reason to play a game's original over its remake, or is the remake always better? And would you recommend any particular game out of a generation over its siblings?
