Smogon deserves every damn insult and criticism lobbed their way until they, and I doubt they ever will, start being a more open and friendly community to fellow Pokemon enthusiasts.
Because that's what Pokemon is all about, sharing tips and advice, trading, and fucking communicating with other trainers and doing teh Pogeymanz together.
You wanna be an expert battler and focus on that like the "Ace Trainer" archetypes in the game? Fine, there's lots of room for that. Just don't be an asshole.
For now, they're the laughing stock of the community. The concentration of all the angry assburger Pokemon posers in one sort of "quarantine" zone.
