Is it just me or is Ultra SuMo tuned to beat your ass?
I went into it blind, just picking out pokemon I wouldnt normally use and adding my own challenge rules, and I have to say, enemy teams are pushing my shit in, to the point that certain random NPCs and totem fights required me to struggle against them repeatedly.
Hell the hardest trainer i've come up against yet had Noctowl, Gengar, Flygon, and Slowking.
Noctowl comes out first, and proceeds to spam screens and tailwind so that the rest of the team can move first and one shot.
Without overpowering the enemy via sheer numbers or levels, you lose to a war of attrition without some kind of gimmick running on your team it seems for the majority of fights.
Right now i'm runnin my 3 underleveled pokemon agains the final grand trial and losing simply to a battle of HP bars.
I'm not saying I find it bad, but dont people usually complain about how simplified the new games have become? It doesnt even pre-emptively hand you legendaries before your trials are over.
