And looking back on Kirby it has a decent track record, which can inform the future positively. SA is also, as mediocre as it is for kirbyfags, a way more quality product than the likes of SwSh. Whereas Hal gives them almost every fanfavorite character, GF cuts entire swathes of favorites from the dex. It shows 2 opposing developer mentalities which I thing perfectly exemplified the fandom rot of Pokemon and the general -stable- climate of Kirby. Also, I think the merch is generally of much higher quality for Kirby than it is for the mass produced consoomer shit of Pokemon
