I always found Cinnabar Island to be an eerie place as a kid, because there's a lot of weird stuff that happens there in the original games. The Missingno. glitch is performed there, the 'old man on the roof glitch', and the Pokemon Mansion is an odd place with some hidden lore. Blaine is also a strange character and he has burglars as trainers in his gym for some reason.
