Does this shit make more sense if you played Sun / Moon first? Especially Gladion, why would Team Skull need an "enforcer" or whatever when their most ambitious project was trying to steal a bus stop? Why couldn't Nanu actually be a responsible adult and try to reach out to all these kids in desperate need of a father figure? Why is Alola so fucked? This is probably the most depressing game in the series, there's no fucking hope for anyone. Fail your island challenge and good fucking luck even becoming a janitor or garbage man unless your dad already works there.
