Pokémon games must be going in the right direction. One of the biggest problems of the old games was that they had too much content, and gamers now are too busy playing mobile games and Apex Legends to care about dumb post-game stuff. The difficulty also needs to keep being babyfied and having excessive handholding, like the forced Exp. Share and removing Set mode for no reason. Pokémon fans don’t want something stupid like “challenge”. They want a braindead 2-hour game their 5-year old kid can beat. Hopefully they’ll cut even more Pokémon and content from the games going forward, as that is what trusted, professional enthusiasts of the core games such as IGN desire for the series.
This is Pokémon’s fate. This is what you wanted. There is no turning back.
