>>21523226Everyone thinks they know their dinosaurs, but most of their "knowledge" comes from Jurassic Park. People STILL talk about brontosaurus all the time, even though it's been more than 100 years since scientists realized it was a specimen fuck-up. The public perception of dinosaurs is mostly out-of-date and full of straight misinformation. Jurassic World isn't gonna help things since they're willfully ignoring science and saying "fuck feathers, scales look cooler" instead of taking the chance to terrify people with accurate, feathered dinos. Feathers don't mean big chicken, they mean giant terrestrial hawk with razor blades everywhere. It'll probably still be a fun movie, but the intentional avoidance of a more accurate depiction upsets me.
Also I got a piece of amber with a Dipteran (fly/mosquito) when I graduated with an Evolutionary Biology degree. Can I get my Aerodactyl, now?
