As someone who helped with romhacking Gen 1/Gen 2 games I like the idea of recurring characters like Giovanni (and Gen 1 Rocket Admins inspired by the manga in our case) using different sprites in the same vein as Rival Oak or Silver. Hell, even better if they can wear different uniforms like Gen 1 Rival in R/G/B (the two first sprites and a Champion one)
