Red keeps being the most popular character in the franchise, from toys to mangas to the iconic battle in GSC to his cameo in SM, now as an adult. So the motivation behind your story falls flat. Doing the Missingno glitch never hurt Red himself either, most versions of it don't even do any harm beyond fucking up your Hall of Fame
