Did you only pick up Pokémon in Gen VIII? It's always suffered these flaws. I'd also like to point out, it's built an empire FOUNDED on all of this shit, which you ate up as a retarded child (proving they don't need to try, as shithead kids buy up Brand regardless) anyway and helped codify the status quo for us all.
