There exists three Scatterbug eggs at the top of the tree, hanging off branches like a pear would. One of those lucky babies is about to become lunch for a starving Ariados. However, the Scatterbugs aren't all the same.
Viola seems to have marked each one with the pattern they'll turn into upon their eventual evolution into Vivillon. If there's anything identical food being different colors has ever told you, it's that this means they each have a different taste.
