This turned out to be sort of a death march. First, lost Wart on a switch (thought he'd take a hit or two, use Hypnosis+Bubblebeam and gain a bit of exp).
Then, at the end of Cycling Road I encountered a Biker who almost tore through my whole team, taking out Gnash and Machaon, while leaving the rest in red.
And then I got careless and tried to take on Drowzee with a Pokemon that's weak to Psychic-type.
The new members of the team are good, all three of them hit like trucks, but still, losing team members who were there from the very start doesn't feel right.
