It makes sense tho. The pokemon world has pretty much always been very accepting of pretty much everything. There are tons of npc's and stuff that basically say "live and let live" when confronted with something they don't fully understand. Not to mention other stuff like free health care and education (you can just walk into the trainer school and learn stuff) have always been in the series.
There's literally nothing in pokemon a SJW could complain about.
