Unless you're referring to B2/W2, but those Pokemon were "replaced" by a wider pool to choose from, including fan favorite Pokemon like Magnezone, Flygon, Lucario, and so on. B2/W2 strikes the perfect balance between having a shitty set of Pokemon to choose from and having a comically large set of Pokemon to choose from. You don't want to give people every Pokemon under the sun, but you don't want to stick them with starters and shitmons like Gen 2.
