>>53871201I think I'll take a different approach from the other anon and suggest an often overlooked part of nuzlocking: getting attached to your guys.
So here's a few changes.
1. All battles should be either double/triple battles for the purposes of the next changes.
2. Pokemon nature now matters much more, as they will give your Pokemon a personality, i.e. your Timid Dratini will act differently from your Naughty Skorupi. Your nature, along with determining your increased and decreased stats, will also give a different positive and/or negative effect depending on the nature. Here's a few examples:
>Careful: Increases hit rate, but uses items like Sitrus Berries much earlier.>Brave: Dramatically increases the damage of the first attack this Pokemon does in battle, but is more likely to be affected by move side-effects (i.e. getting Paralyzed by a Body Slam).>Adamant: Utilizing the same move again will increase the damage it deals (similar to using the Metronome item), but using a different attack will decrease it's attack or hit rate (if it's a status move).3. Your entire party will interact with each other after certain events or fights such as gym leaders or rivals. In these interactions, your Pokemon can either get along with each other or dislike each other, which will have certain effects in battle (think Miitopia). For example, Gentle and Timid Pokemon get along, while Hasty and Lax Pokemon don't get along.
>If your Pokemon get along, they'll get a certain buff when fighting together like higher crit chance, or if they're REALLY close, they can tough out a move or take a hit for their friend.>If your Pokemon DON'T get along, they might get a debuff like lower speed or lower evasion. Certain events can also cause changes. Here's an example:
>Calm Snivy and Lax Phanpy get along. However, the Lax Phanpy dies while fighting alongside your Starly. Your Snivy will now dislike your Starly.
