and before you go "muh theming":
1: Dark type is centered around fighting dirty/dishonorably, not anything to do with light or literal darkness, and in japanese the type's name is "Evil"
2: Light is much more associated with psychic type; the Alola legendary trio centers around light and is all psychic type, the moves Glitzy Glow, Light Screen, Light That Burns The Sky, Lumina Crash, Photon Geyser, and Reflect are all moves that involve light and are psychic type
whereas with dark the only light related move is uuuuuuh Baddy Bad which sets up reflect as a secondary effect
