She's the one who wrote the Old Verses and seems to talk about everyone she knows dying, so it probably isn't her Celestica heritage. For Volo it seems more likely that it is because he's one of the last surviving Celestica people and maybe he just has a longer lifespan, but he seemed to imply that he's also immortal somehow. I wonder if it was because he had been messing around with space-time rifts and it did something to his lifespan? Or maybe Celestica people really are just like elves or something. It would explain why Cynthia never seems to age at all in her appearances throughout the series lol
