I just went to check that video and the Twitch chat shows up within the first few seconds, so it is probably an edited segment from one of his streams. He didn't sit down and slowly, deliberately, methodically, decide to dissect Gen 2, it just happened as a result of a conversation in his stream. He did upload it though and the hyperbolic title was probably a method of farming clicks, and it seems to have worked out quite well.
So we can't say he's stupid, whether he realized that or not. Jan seems to be pretty smart.
