And the translations they talk about in the video imply that they wanted to have every Pokemon tagged with a monetary value, so that you could actually go back and sell them or trade them with friends and actually have a tangible number attached to how valuable that Pokemon was. So again, that would have made a completely different experience. Because then players would have been incentivized to collect Pokemon for their monetary value and I think it would have led to a little bit more of a trading card game type feel where the emphasis is on getting the best, most rare monsters to build a fortune and not necessarily hanging out with your bros you caught and raised yourself
