this tapping shit is there because all of the casuals that this game is marketing itself towards hate turn based combat. Plus, with the current combat system, you only have to worry about like 8 numbers (HP, CP, Attack1, Attack2, and then again for your opposing Pokemon), instead of the 20+ (6 stats + 4 attacks, not including stuff like Intimidate, Tailwind, etc.) for normal Pokemon.

I'd like to see trading and friendly battling implemented. There shouldn't be any rewards for this, just like in the normal games- all just for fun. To balance trading, there should be a constraint on usable CP levels from TRADED POKEMON.
One slightly more esoteric request would be tiered gym battles- its intimidating for new players to see gyms with 1000-2000CP Pokemon in them, and it also makes it so that only high level players get Pokecoins from defending gyms, creating a Rich Get Richer type system. This would make the game more inviting to new players, and also not let advanced players get too ridiculously far ahead.
