i don't even mind legendaries being like gods in-universe, i just want them to go back to being optional and not a part of the main story. it's just so much better when you get rewarded with a legendary for exploring, just like how it is much better to have bits of their lore here and there that you have to find out, instead of some mandatory character stopping you in your tracks to tell you everything about it.
