These falls were bigger than Niagra.
But because of the erosion they caused along the river the falls moved north up the Mississippi.
The US Army Corp affixed the falls in one place by damming it up in Downtown Minneapolis.
Essentially you could place the falls anywhere South of the Twin cites and would be historically accurate.
Or hell even north of the Twin cities in an alternate timeline when the falls were never dammed.
