I don't care about the reasons why the story is happening in Dusk / Dawn. We play this genre for the monster designs and it did a great job emphasizing the importance of the enemies who were bosses. It had a Digiegg Encyclopedia with various egg designs made from different combinations of parents that hatch into 4 possible monsters. Almost every Digimon can DNA Digivolve into a new monster, not just the "canon combos" from the anime. Raising several "Mega 1"s to make "Mega 2"s that were parts for "Mega 3"s was rewarding. Having a boss rush of THE ROYAL KNIGHTS after the story and a boss rush of anime characters that each took many attempts even with the OP items was rewarding. I wish they would just make Dusk 2 and Dawn 2 and then people emulate the originals.
