Except that doesn't happen. Out of desperation, the maid drops her and tries to just snatch it from us, which results in it breaking. We get to keep the better portion, still usable.
(Un)fortunately, Aelita is found collapsed. Turns out the Grunt omitted the part where they'd be sacrificing their souls to kill a Groudon. Whoops.
