You, Serena, and all the Pokemon take the more "fun" way to explore the lab, and that way is the spinny way. Spin Panels are one of the brazillions of inventions Lysandre invented for the purpose of beautifying society with the benefits of...spinning. As you could probably guess, that's exactly why it never sold so well. That and families sued due to child injuries.
All unsold Spin Panels were left to rot in Lysandre Labs, where the underpaid Scientists working there decided to take them out for a few spins. They seem to have been left behind following their evacuation and announcement of the Ultimate Weapon's forthcoming.
You take the first Spin Panel that you see, which takes you on a nauseating roundabout before spitting you out sliding throughout the floor like a Piplup, "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
You hit the first wall that your body comes in contact with, another issue with the Spin Panel. As soon as you hit something, even something -really- lightweight, all kinetic motion the panel caused comes to an immediate stop. It was a "feature" implemented to prevent injuries, but really it's just a bug that Lysandre could not be assed to fix.
As expected, Serena slams into the wall next, right into you all lewd-like. Skrelp, zombiedoge, ham-ham, and Shuckle add to the living pile afterward.
And yes, it fucking hurts.
