A. Ice is shit as is, and being weak to one of the best offensive types is just insult to injury
B. Fighting types don't even really care about losing the SE since Ice types are basically nonexistent, it's no different from adding the resist to a new type
C. The fighting weakness doesn't really make sense, so a resist doesn't really have to either. If you're miffed about it, go punch snow and see how far that gets you.
