I don't get Gamefreak's mentality with this thing. It's supposed to be "the ultimate challenge" for you as a trainer in game, but the way its made, with weird rules and seemingly cheating AI, means team diversity is fucked. Out of 800 mons only a handful work for this "meta." What's the point? It's not a challenge as much as it is a grind to eventually force players online, where, I might add, balance is even more fucked.
I ran a Hail Team with some success in Platinum's Batte Tower. Obamasnow's Snow Warning fucks focus sash users/ sturdy. 100% accuracy blizzards. Frosslass and Bulky Gyra for Immunity to two OHKO moves. Huge rock weakness, but I had enough options to play around it. That was when I cared enough to grind hours into team building. Now? I rather random battle on Showdown. Fuck Gamefreak. Fuck USUM.
