Pikachu does not stop its pursuit of Raichu who is now within a few feet from his trainer.
You: Raichu.
Raichu nods and turns to face Pikachu. Ash's Pikachu makes direct contact with the stationary pokemon and an enormous explosion occurs. With a lightning fast combination of Endure/Reversal that isn't shown until later, within the smoke, Pikachu is sent flying, completely KO'd.
Ash: P-PIkachuuuu!!!
As the smoke clears, the trainer is now standing utop his yet to be seen Articuno, only the sound of flapping winds can be heard. Cradling Pikachu on the ground, Ash looks up with scorn, but without a word, the trainer flies off, but not before giving Ash a look of extreme disappointment.
