This is a sketch for my region map. Each circle is a big city that is connected to the train service. The big cities connect to smaller cities not connected to the train service, not visible here. The game is semi open world and you can visit the big cities immediately, but the smaller cities and routes may be only avaiable after you have a certain amount of badges.
There are 5 badges - one in each area - and you can visit them in any order.
