I feel like Game Freak fell into a trap with their pattern of "new region, new dex, new league, new legends, new villains, same adventure" for every subsequent sequel. I'm not saying that formula doesn't work, and I do enjoy new gens very much so. But the fact that they're so quick to establish locations with characters and lore only to abandon them (I'm lookin at XY and DP as an example of this) is quite frustrating. I want more games set in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos. I want games where I'm not just another 10 year old catching mons. Why not a Police focused game? or a Team Rocket focused game? or a Breeding focused game? or a contest focused game?
