I think this is it for me. I tried to pretend things would get better after XY, but they didn't and ORAS was just as bad even though it was based on a game I did enjoy. Sun Moon and Ultra Sun Moon got good reviews and I tried to dip in only to find out that once again it was all actual fucking lies or very out-of-touch reviewers pushing it up, it was just bad. Just actualy legitmetely bad. I was in awe at how a game could be so far from what we want.
And now Sword Shield is not only apparently worse than fucking SM, it needs DLC to save itself from being as bad as Red Blue. 90 dollars to have a game that is literally the bare minimum.
I'm done. It is clear by now Pokemon has chosen a path that is not for me, and frankly I'm fucking 26 atleast this spares me from becoming some kind of weirdo that is still playing Pokemon in his deep 30s. Goodbye fellas. I'll always cherish the old days.
