>>32186492Gen 6 felt like a slight step back in some respects, hated them ditching the perfection that was scaling exp gains and instead introducing the new and boring Exp Share. Still enjoyed XY a lot, though. ORAS are a fucking travesty compared to past remakes with seemingly zero enthusiasm and effort put into them, even the arranged music sucked, but sure, they were still functional games and I eventually bought AS and played through the storyline despite not getting it at launch.
SM are pretty new still so I'm still figuring out my verdict for them, but I'd say they're an improvement over XY, nearly on the level of gen 5.
