Next gym is a dark type one, which I remember being the easiest one in the game.

>>43596084Honestly, there's no shame in getting exp. codes in my opinion, as much as grinding is part of what makes you connect to mons, there's no point in wasting hours training a team up that'll die anyway.
Also I wholly suggest you play reborn, I think the terrains and ways of getting pokemon add fun new layers to the game, if you're able to look past all the concerning things with the story, it's a lot of fun if you like that kind of stuff.
But do not nuzlocke it on your first run through, unless you are a savant, because knowing what you are going up against is a prerequisite for doing anything in the game without death. (I've beaten the game twice normally, and still have almost two full dead boxes at the 8th gym).
