I love Houndoom. He's the first Fire-type I ever used (played Gen II before Gen I, so I missed the Charizard Hype Train and I chose Chikorita as my starter and didn't bother to catch any Fire-types until post-game), has a damn awesome design, and has one of the more unique typings that's yet to be repeated.
While he isn't good for competitive use, what with being too good for UU and shit for OU and the fucking Sneaky Pebbles, he's still good for the actual games. I've beaten the Champions from Gen II-V with Houndoom in my team. Not to mention that he's my favorite Pokemon in terms of its Shiny color scheme.
In short, Houndoom will always be my bro, no matter how many people completely and utterly rape him with their goddamn Salamence/Dragon Dance/Outrage/Moxie combos like a gang of negros gangbanging an underaged Asian schoolgirl.
