I'll start with the obligatory one.
LIGHT
Deals with electromagnetic waves, reflection/refraction, wave optics, some radioactive decay, and very toned-down general relativity. Primarily focuses on speed, status, and support moves.
Pokemon are either light-themed animals (like Fire and Electric), mythical creatures with domain over light (angels, valkyries, rods, etc.), or something styled after an optical phenomenon (rainbows, mirrors/lens, mirages, bio-luminescence, etc.). Moves deal with things like difraction, signal interference, radioactive decay, time dilation, magnification, lasers, etc.

x2 Electric (strong ionizing radiation damages electrical systems)
x2 Ghost (people are less afraid of well-lit places, thus leading to fewer supernatural fears)
x0.5 Ice (light is refracted)
x0.5 Light (superposition and interference)
x0.5 Water (same as Ice)
x0 Grass (photosynthesis)

x2 Psychic (closest thing to gravity in Pokemon, and they desperately need a buff)
