i guess if she were gonna run a gym it would specialize in fighting types! i think part of her gimmick might be something like instead of staff, since she's so hyped up to fight she just has several teams prepared, each one *slightly* stronger than the last that she cycles through, so instead of like, 3-5 randos the challenger is just battling her the whole time. as for the puzzle element maybe she'd do something like have atticus make disguises for her pokemon or something and have trainers guess what it is based on tidbits of info it would reveal like moves or abilities, if you guess right you advance to the next battle, if you guess wrong it's back to square one. i like to imagine all gym leaders intentionally hold back based on the skill level of the challenger so if they want a full throttle rematch they have to come back after the e4.
