That being said I'm interested in Team Plasma's motives. The leader wanted to reduce the population of the world, which would ultimalty remove pokemon from the earth.
In this world there are no real weapons other than Pokemon, and the ones with the strongest pokemon have the strongest weapons.
So the removal of pokemon and the reduction of human population would ultimatly flush the world of its weapons and tempoarly remove conflict.
Of course without Pokemon humans would find other means of weapons and we would ultimately end up with the world we have today.
So in a way... the world we have now is the end result of Lysandre Achieving his goals.
Think of IRL as... Pokemon X and Y "Bad End"
