the top was my first attempt at a route which would lead to the temple island
inbetween those two is another water map and a rse-style small ferry
it felt really empty so I decided to condense
now it feels cramped but apparently original games only use multiples of 10 for width?

but while names are repetitive I actually have unique concepts for all these towns
(there are economic rivalries between the port towns and other stuff)
I only plan to do 8 gyms, I don't want to get ahead of myself on my first project.
the two maps, at least at this moment, are more of a way to seperate concepts
the west half of the land is more spiritual and rural while the east side is more pragmatic and industrial, while also slowly expanding into the west.

there is way more to romhacking than just making maps though
