Games like Battleforge and Sonic Runners practically only have fan revival projects going because somebody made a popular Youtube video about them. Had you genuinely heard of either of those games before I mentioned them? At the least even if Sword and Shield are garbage I can still play them. And as long as somebody has a torrent up you can at least pirate the DLC. It's far less likely for somebody to do anything related to the Switch's online, but even then hackers have ways to use LAN or route wireless through the internet. When an MMO dies, that's it, you can't play it anymore.
