Since Dex Entries are being talk about, if someone is looking for one to do, I would like Phantern to get a new one as after talking with the creator, the first stage more based on the spirit boat procession that you saw in the pokemon episode ghost of maiden's peak, and the second was based on the Chinese lantern, usually hung at festivals, and the kind that float off into the air.
Because as with most Paper Lanterns are used for joyous happy occasions, for good fortune, and such. Lemme find the stuff I wrote about it a couple threads ago...
>Chinese Paper Lanterns are most often used at festivals and hung outside businesses. Not sure why in the origin on the wiki it says it is used to commemorate the dead. Which is probably what the dex info based off of.
>Chinese lanterns most often represent long life and is the supreme totem of good luck. Which in most cases using something that promotes long life for the dead doesn't seem right.
>Although in some places the color of the lantern give different meanings, red connotes vitality and energy at its maximal state, a blue lantern represents declining energy or sickness, and white signifies energy eliminated or death.
>In which Phantern is being made up of Red/Yellow, being the opposite of death.
>But so more often then not, Paper Lanterns are used for happy occasions and festivals, or to promote good fortune. Especially ones of the red color. As in the Chinese culture red represents basically the opposite of death.
So an anon suggested for Wispern to keep its current or maybe a mix of its current and the current Phantern Entry, and then an new one that fits the more Festival, Happy, Good Fortune ideology for Phantern.
