>>49869984Except no, it doesn't. Pic related is one example and actually, very romantic, he is looking for a gift for his GF and isn't afraid to admit it! And this is not even close to the only example of this, and that is just the games. Also, didn't they change that line?
>>49870253 and >>49870376 really say everything else that I might have wanted to say on that.>>49870042See, here is the thing, people like Mr.Verily seem to think that somehow, being sexual attracted them is what came first, then the head cannon that they are smart. I can only speak for myself, but I suspect that this reflects on a lot of people here: I grew up thinking of Pokemon as intelligent creatures. I played the games and watched the show as a child, and that is how they seemed to be presented to me as a kid, and that is how all my friends thought of them, so that became the way I imagined the Pokemon world.
(Attraction to them didn't even enter into the picture until around the time I was 13. That is about the same time I had to play as a female to get Eevee in PMD. Whenever watching any other form of media with regular humans, I always put a filter up in my good Christian mind to prevent myself from lusting after anyone. That worked perhaps too well, and I forgot to put that "filter" up for Pokemon, so... here we are. But my point is, that was all AFTER I'd already had a version of the Pokemon world in my head).
...But I don't think any of this actually matters to you, as you, like me, seem to have formed your own version of the Pokemon world in your head, and won't be persuaded otherwise. Which is fine, to be honest, there is nothing wrong with that, perhaps write some fiction of the version of the Pokemon world you like best, or try to find some. I'm sure you are not the only one in the world who thinks of Pokemon the way you do, even if it might feel that way on any Pokemon fan forum or site.
