>>53696904The problem with the shift to wacky slice of life in the Pokemon is that it was boring. Yu-Gi-Oh did the same the thing but it was actually good because the duel composition was still interesting, the main characters got tons of development and all started with some depth, and most importantly IT WAS ACTUALLY FUNNY.
