They're a massive, growing list of easily fixable sore spots that the devs adamantly refuse to fix, despite the combination of fan outcry and the simple fact that fixing these problems would make an objectively better game.
No Natdex is not a "small issue".
The awful graphics are not a "small issue",
The kneecapped content replaced for paid DLC is not a "small issue".
The games having less content on them than DS titles despite costing more is not a "small issue".
Players losing angency like something as simple as an on/off exp share switch is not a "small issue".
And so on. You can try to handwave every individual thing all you want, but anyone with a functioning brain can tell you this shit fucking sucks. Franchises are supposed to refine themselves and improve as time goes on, the bar is supposed to gradually get higher so we have new things to look forward to. Instead, what we get with Pokemon is "wow, look at this really minor improvement, they updated the item sprites!", shitty gimmicks, shitty character designs, and a revolving door of removed features, all served to you in a game that's years and years and Y E A R S behind the rest of the industry when it comes to graphics, UI, and its battle system.
But the worst thing about all of this is how you fucking shills try to play this off like anyone who isn't willing to slurp corporate cock is some nitpicking wet blanket that just hates the idea of people having fun, and to that I say go fuck yourself x10000000. I fucking love Pokemon, I want it to be good more than anything else, I'm into a ton of new things but keep coming back here because Pokemon is my fucking OG obsession. I fucking hate shitting on these games but I love Pokemon too much to let it languish in its current state quietly. Fuck you for enabling awful devs to keep raping Pokemon, die, even.
