I'm 29, started with Gen 1, and the best memory is probably all of the early days of Pokemon? The games, the anime, the movie, experiences like Snap and Stadium, collecting and trading cards with my friends, talking about Gen 2 and trying to figure out all the new Pokemon. It was a wild time and I'm glad to have been there before the internet became commonplace and took away the mystery of it all. It's pretty crazy looking back on it, GameFreak took a fuckton of risks back then and nearly all of them paid off.
