Layaska is a polar region loosely based on the Himalayas, the Arctic, and the Antarctic. This is meounce, an ice/flying type that is both based on snow leopards and a visual pun based on clouded leopards. Local lore describes them as “so innocent they never touch the ground.” Unable to hunt for themselves, Meounce spend most of the day sleeping atop snow clouds high in the mountains, awaiting their mother’s return. Evolves once.
