Marill even has a a crooked shaped tail except instead of forming into a lightning bolt shape it ends up with the blue sphere made to give the impression of a water baloon/bubble. And then Maril/Azumarill get their pre-evo in the next Gen, just like Pikachu got its in Gen 2.
