This artist does a decent job showing how the Gen 8 fossils could have been sensibly designed to look like living creatures while simultaneously preserving the 'mixed up' gimmick. With just a few tweaks the designs go from awful to okay.
Dracozolt and Dracovish having their guts handing out looks terrible. Arctovish just looks retarded. Arctozolt is the only one that is almost okay visually. Whoever designed the Gen 8 fossils deserves to be fired.
